Egypt economy recovering after 4 years of slow activity: IMF mission chief

After two weeks of closely observing Egypt’s economy, the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Article IV review mission concluded the job on 25 November, and announced the results. Mission chief Chris Jarvis announced in a Wednesday statement that Egypt’s economy has begun to recover after four years of slow activity, adding that the current period is a good opportunity for Egypt.

Egypt is engine of growth in Middle East: World Bank Egypt director

The World Bank aims to eliminate poverty and promote social inclusion in Egypt, already providing technical assistance to the Suez Canal Area Development project, said World Bank Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti Hartwig Schafer. Schafer sat with Daily News Egypt to discuss the World Bank’s current and future projects in Egypt, mentioning that their partnership with the country has strengthened throughout the past three years.
