Family Assistance offers aid to families living in extreme hardship as a result of the death, absence or terminal illness of the head of the household.
In Egypt, the neediest 20% of the population is given the benefit of only 8.6% of the country’s wealth. The Family Assistance program attends to these families who are facing extreme financial hardship. Over a thousand families are supported through regular contributions pledged by BLESS USA members. Money is distributed on a monthly basis to these families in order to cover basic living costs such as food and shelter.
